    Posted: Jun 22 2011 at 7:13am
Hi.

I have a GE Logiq 7 Pro where the CW function doesn´t work properly.
The PW function works perfectly, but CW only shows something if i vibrate the probe against the skin surface. If i place the probe normally against the skin surface no CW is obtained.
The diagnostic tests passed on all boards except STCW board.
The following testes failed:

STCW_CHANNEL_SV: FAIL

Delay Line/Crosspoint: FAIL

RF Gain Test: FAIL

What could be the problem?

Best regards

Paulo Ferreira

Hi Paulo,

I would guess that the STCW board is bad. I would check all power supplies, reseat the STCW board (Slot 2) and if available, re-load software before replacing the STCW board.

Here is the part number:

2277244 STCW ASSY FOR GE LOGIQ 7

Please let me know if you need a quote.

Best regards,

Hi Chris

I have the cd to re-load the software.
Are there any specific precautions to be considered in re-loading the software?

Best regards

Paulo

Hi Paulo,

Yes. Please be sure to back up the image archive as well as all the customer presets at a minimum. Also, make sure you record the options string password and any DICOM/Peripheral settings.

From there, most newer GE platforms have a Base OS (Operating System) CD which must be loaded first and then the Application Software CD which is loaded last.

If you can tell me what version of software you have, I will see if I have a complete procedure for you.

Best regards,

Chris

I changed the PCB STCW ASSy and the problem is the same, very low sensitivity in cw Doppler spectrum.
Will reloading probe data resolve th problem?

Hi Paulo,

Have you tried a different probe?

Have you checked all of your power supplies? Have you re-loaded both the base software and application software?

Best regards,

Chris

Hello Paulo,

The service manual does not list where the points are to check.

Best regards,
