   Question: I am adding a probe that I have never used on my SonoSite system - do I need a software update or a license key? 

Answer: Maybe - The best thing to do is to call SonoSite's support number, (1-877-666-7444) while you are standing in front of the unit to be sure you have both the license key for the transducer and all the necessary calculation packages necessary to run the transducer BEFORE you purchase an additional probe.
